Paiyaa (Tamil: பையா ; English: Boy!) is a forthcoming 2010 Indian Tamil–language romantic-action film written and directed by Linguswamy, director of highly successful Tamil films like Aanandham (2001), Run (2002) and Sandakozhi (2005). It stars Karthi and Tamannaah Bhatia in lead, with Milind Soman, Sonia Deepti and Jegan essaying supporting roles.[2] Produced by Linguswamy's younger brother N. Subash Chandra Bose under the banner of Thirupathi Brothers,[3] the film has music scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja and cinematography and editing handled by Madhi and Anthony, respectively.
After a lengthy pre-production phase, during which the film underwent major changes in its main cast and its technical crew, the shooting of the film commenced in December 2008 and was held at various locations throughout entire South India, most notably in Bangalore, Karnataka, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh and Mumbai, Maharashtra and across the highways between these cities.[4] The film is currently in its filming stage and is expected to release on 12 February 2010.
